0.007 Short of a Podium! 😫

Hey Guys,

Back at Sydney for our third weekend in the row, you would think that it's all the same by now, but with the wind the track conditions had changed completely for Saturday.

Our balance in the cars were better for knock-out Quali and we managed to finish Q3 in P6.

The opening stint of the race was all going to plan, I was comfy in P5 with some good speed, so stopped for two tyres but the racing gods didn't want to make it too easy on me and they sent us a Safety Car.

The field was all bunched up and gave the advantage to all those who changed 4 tyres – aka, not me 😅 I dropped down to P11 before the chequered flag flew.

What can I say about our first Race on Sunday - 0.0072 seconds was what kept me off the podium 😫 I fought hard in the Race to get up to P3 but I spent the tyres getting there and Shane came just at the right time and took the bikkies away from me.

I thought I might be lucky for the last race and get some rain but it never came! I started P5 and stopped for just 2 tyres, I had a track advantage over most of the other guys, but couldn’t hold off those who took 4 tyres late and I fell back to P8.

On a positive note, we definitely took a step forward this weekend! We made some real improvements with the Quali car, and tried some things with the Race car that made it better.

We've still got work to do but it's good to have a test day on Tuesday before another big weekend coming up for our SMSP Finale. I'll speak to you guys after that! 👋🏽

Cheers,

Chaz
